Special guests via zoom, WAKI leaders and families, good morning everyone.

First of all, I would like to thank  Venerable Sayadaw U Kittivara and the President of WAKI Relic Center, Mr. Teo Choo Guan for organizing the 1000KG Buddha and Arahant Relic Pagodas Consecration Ceremony at the Waki Building, Malaysia.

In many sutras, Sakyamuni Buddha had mentioned that “The merit of building Pagoda is special and incredible.  Among deeds done by body, speech and mind, the deed by the mind is the most victorious, the Pagoda represents the Buddha's "mind".

There are 18 benefits of building Pagoda. Therefore, the merit of  building the Waki Pagoda surpass the present  generation. The wholesome deed of paying homage, offering and circumnutating the pagoda can free us from suffering realm.

In the sutra, the buddha had preached that there are great merits for building  pagoda, just looking at the shadow of the pagoda, seeing the pagoda, hearing the bell sound from pagoda, this wholesome deed can destroy one's bad kamma.

The devotees' aspiration to build  pagoda is indeed a  wholesome deed.  The merits of building pagoda are vast -- they are beyond the seven treasures in the three thousand worlds.

The merits of building pagoda can destroy obstacles, can boost abundance  and intelligence. The worshipping and circulating the pagoda can lead us free from suffering. In addition, it has an immeasurable effect to bless and free us from any diseases and disasters.

The Pagoda is a place of pilgrimage, for worshipping, prostrating, and  circumambulating. There are lots of precious relics and buddhist scriptures enshrined within the pagoda, with powerful energy to promote peace.

Buddha had preached that whoever has the chance to see a pagoda, listen to the sound of bell of pagoda, recall the scene of pagoda, they can be free from suffering.

Building a pagoda can benefit all sentient beings, can bring happiness, create auspicious  environment and subdue negative forces for all sentients beings. Not only that, it also brings  happiness, health and peace to the sponsors and their families with the merits of the wholesome deed of building the pagoda.

Venerable Sayadaw U Kittivara and the President of Waki Relic Center, Mr. Teo Choo Guan vow to build one thousand pagodas for enshrining around the world for the happiness and well-being of the sentient beings. For a start, they will build ten relic pagodas in the Waki Building to enable people to worship, circumambulating and respect the Pagoda.

The President of Waki Relic Center, MR Teo Choo Guan said that he is very happy to help people and propagate  Buddhism. The pagoda represents the buddha “mind” and building the pagoda in this Dharma-ending- era can bring happiness , eliminate the obstacles and plant the seeds for liberation.

I hope everyone will have a pure heart and able to let go of the worldly burden. When you are happy, happiness will always be with you, when your heart is fill with gratitude, happiness will follow you.
